Pick a root and a scale; the fretboard lights up every place those notes live. Everything else is optional. Here's the map:
Position
A 4–5 fret window so you drill one hand-shape at a time. You're starting at Position 1; widen to Full neck when you're ready.
Options
Tucked in Options: switch Notes ↔ Degrees labels (see each note's job: 1 is the root, then b3, 5…), the Pitch/Simple colour scheme, and the scale player.
Progression
Hit Random for an instant progression, or tap Build to open the chord palette for your key and add chords yourself. Then Play steps through it while each chord's tones ring on the board.
Hear it
Tap a note (or focus it with Tab and press Enter) to play it. Just want to watch? Hit Mute and the pattern still lights up silently.
Try this first: A Minor Pentatonic · Position 1 · slow the tempo · tap along, then Play scale.
